Johnnie Walker Green Label (750 ml)
฿2,499
Green Label occupies a structurally distinct category within the Johnnie Walker range: it contains no grain whisky whatsoever, making it a blended malt — a format that demands each component carry its own weight without the softening scaffold of column-still grain spirit. The four malt contributors are Talisker (Isle of Skye, volcanic basalt coastline, intense maritime smoke and black pepper spice), Caol Ila (Islay, clean medicinal peat and brine), Cragganmore (Speyside, complex malt fragrance and dried fruit), and Linkwood (Speyside, floral grassiness and orchard fruit) — each aged a minimum of 15 years in predominantly ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks before blending. At 43% ABV — higher than both Red and Black Label — the spirit retains more of the distillate's native character, particularly Talisker's volcanic intensity and Caol Ila's coastal iodine. The blend is chill-filtered and reduced to bottling strength at Diageo's Leven, Fife facility. What no peer in the standard blended Scotch category replicates is this grain-free architecture at commercial scale: the absence of grain whisky forces the four malts into direct dialogue, producing a smoke-and-wax tension that grain-inclusive blends structurally cannot achieve. Non-vintage by design; consistent batch-to-batch.
