Johnnie Walker Blue Label (200 ml)
฿2,599
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-blending instinct — that combining across origins eliminates batch variance — became the founding logic of an entire category. Blue Label is where that logic reaches its most selective extreme: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million barrels qualifies for inclusion, each individually analyzed and approved by the blending team before selection. The blend draws from Diageo's full pan-Scotland network — Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit at the core, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) for waxy coastal depth — a structural architecture no single-region producer can replicate. Carrying no age statement, Blue Label is deliberately non-vintage, prioritizing cask quality over chronology; bottled at 40% ABV and chill-filtered, it is reduced to a consistent house signature rather than released at cask strength. What separates Blue Label categorically from every other expression in the core range is its occasional incorporation of whisky from permanently closed ghost distilleries — Brora and Port Ellen among them — making certain batches among the only commercially accessible vehicles for those lost distillery characters. No drinking window applies to a non-vintage blend; this 200 ml format delivers the full Blue Label profile in a collector-accessible pour.
