Inchgower distillery sits at the mouth of the River Spey near Buckie on the Moray coast, where the maritime influence — salt-laden air, cool coastal temperatures — slows maturation and preserves the distillery's characteristic waxy, orchard-fruit character through extended cask contact. This expression spent 12 years in a refill sherry cask — used wood that imparts dried fruit and gentle spice without overwhelming the distillate — then bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring, preserving the natural texture and haze that chill-filtration would strip. What sets this release apart within the Provenance range is the combination of Inchgower's coastal-Speyside character — a style rarely seen as a single cask independent bottling — with sherry wood at 12 years, a maturation length that sits at the upper end of the Provenance tier. Strictly limited to the yield of a single cask, typically 300–850 bottles, this release will not be repeated.
