Non-chill-filtered, no added colouring, bottled at 46% ABV minimum, the spirit retains the natural fatty acids and esters that chill-filtration would strip. What makes this expression unusual within its category is Auchentoshan's triple distillation protocol — rare in Scotch outside this single Lowland distillery — which produces a lighter, higher-cut new-make that, after 13 years in refill wood, resolves into a distinctly delicate but texturally complete whisky.
