Ballantine's 21 Years (700 ml)
฿7,995
Ballantine's traces its blending lineage to George Ballantine's Edinburgh grocery in 1827, and the 21 Year Old sits at the top of the age-stated core range, drawing on single malts and grain whiskies each carrying a minimum 21-year maturation declaration. The blend pulls from distilleries across the Scottish Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, and Islay, meaning the raw components arrive with radically different character — from light, grassy grain spirit to peat-touched island malt — before the master blender marries them. Extended oak contact over two decades in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak and ex-sherry European oak casks develops the signature dried-fruit and toffee register that shorter-aged expressions cannot replicate. What distinguishes the 21 Year Old within the Ballantine's lineup is the proportion of aged Speyside single malt in the blend, which contributes a honeyed, waxy texture absent from the 17 Year Old. Bottled at 40% ABV, the whisky is chill-filtered to maintain clarity at retail temperature. The current release drinks well immediately and holds without deterioration for several years once opened.
