The producer sources rye harvested in late autumn, when cold stress triggers enzymatic changes that intensify grain character.

Production employs pot-still distillation rather than industrial column methods, a deliberate choice that preserves congeners and allows rye's inherent spice compounds—particularly carvone and limonene—to remain in the final spirit. The distillate undergoes charcoal filtration through birch and alder, traditional to Russian vodka craft, which softens mouthfeel while maintaining grain definition.
