Patron Silver Tequila (750 ml)
฿2,599
When John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley launched Patrón in 1989, 100% agave tequila at luxury price points did not exist as a commercial category — the spirit was consumed as a shot with salt and lime. Their founding decision to replicate small-scale brick ovens and copper pot stills rather than automate as volume grew remains the operational discipline that defines every bottle today.
Hacienda Patrón sits in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco at Atotonilco El Alto (NOM 1492), a site selected by founding Master Distiller Francisco Alcaraz for its contaminant-free water supply. Highland elevation produces Blue Weber Agave that is inherently sweeter and fruitier than lowland piñas — a terroir difference that is structural, not cosmetic.
Patrón Silver's production signature is its dual-crush blend: piñas are slow-baked for exactly 79 hours in small clay brick ovens, then crushed by two parallel methods — a two-ton volcanic tahona wheel and a modern roller mill — fermented separately in open pinewood tanks for a minimum of 72 hours, then double-distilled in small copper pot stills before blending. The tahona fraction contributes earthy texture and agave depth; the roller-mill fraction delivers clean citrus lift.
No other large-scale premium producer runs this dual-method blend at multi-million-case volume. As an unaged Blanco, the spirit is bottled at 40% ABV with no additives beyond agave, water, and yeast, preserving the raw highland character without oak intervention.
