Santa Julia
Santa Julia Cuy White Natural Wine
฿1,000
José Alberto Zuccardi named this brand after his daughter Julia in the 1980s, but the Natural line represents the family's most deliberate break from Mendoza convention: zero additions, zero sulfur, zero filtration at a price point where most producers still rely on corrective winemaking. The Cuy White draws fruit from Familia Zuccardi's estate at Maipú — approximately 650 m elevation, arid continental climate with extreme diurnal swing — where well-drained gravel over sandy soils limit vine vigour and concentrate aromatic intensity while preserving the acidity that defines this line. Fermentation proceeds on ambient/indigenous yeasts with no sulfur additions at any stage; the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving every textural and aromatic compound the fruit delivers. What sets the Cuy White apart within the Natural range is its white-wine expression of a philosophy more commonly applied to skin-contact or red cuvées — a genuinely rare format in Mendoza's natural-wine output. Argentina's largest certified-organic vineyard holding (~400 ha, first certified 2001) and 'Fair for Life' certification (2013) underpin every bottle. Drink on release for maximum freshness and aromatic lift.
