Jermann's "W…Dreams" Chardonnay originates from the Collio subregion of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, where the northeastern Italian hills meet Slovenia. The vineyard sites rest on calcareous marl and limestone soils at moderate elevation, with cool Alpine air moderating ripeness and preserving acidity through the growing season.

The fruit undergoes barrel fermentation in French oak, followed by extended lees contact—a technique that builds textural complexity and subtle oxidative notes characteristic of the house style. This is not a fruit-forward expression; rather, it develops layered minerality and subtle oak integration over time.

The "W…Dreams" designation reflects Jermann's experimental positioning within Collio's classical framework. The wine balances the region's limestone-driven salinity with the richness of barrel aging, creating a Chardonnay that sits between Burgundian structure and northeastern Italian freshness.
