VIK A Cabernet Sauvignon
฿1,049
Born in the foothills of the Andes within the Millahue Valley, known by the indigenous Mapuche as the Golden Place, Vik is a project defined by a radical scientific and artistic pursuit of perfection. The estate spans a complex mosaic of twelve small valleys, where deep, porous granitic soils and a cooling wind tunnel of Pacific breezes create a terroir of immense diversity. Defying traditional viticultural boundaries, the producer treats winemaking as a holistic art form, harvesting exclusively by hand at night to preserve the absolute purity and energy of the fruit before it is shaped by custom-toasted barrels made from the estate's own fallen oak trees.
The wine opens with an intense aromatic clarity, leading with luminous notes of black forest berries and fresh red plum layered over a subtle, earthy minerality. On the palate, a restless energy takes hold as vibrant tension drives the fruit forward, supported by tannins that possess a fine, velvet-like grain. As it evolves, hints of black pepper and mocha emerge, woven into a complex structure that remains both fluid and precise. The journey concludes with a persistent, linear finish, leaving a lasting impression of savory elegance and crystalline balance.
