Tarapacá's Etiqueta Azul draws from Maipo Valley's warm, north-facing slopes, where alluvial soils and diurnal temperature swings shape mid-weight reds. The blend centers on Carmenère aged in French oak, a varietal that thrives in Maipo's heat and delivers the dark plum character this cuvée is known for. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot provide structural support and mid-palate weight. The wine spends 12 months in oak, allowing tannin integration without over-extraction. Etiqueta Azul represents Tarapacá's accessible tier—fruit-forward enough for immediate drinking, structured enough to age 3–5 years. Drink 2024–2028.
