Pelissero Barbaresco Tulin DOCG
฿3,700
Pelissero is a third-generation family estate located in the heart of the Langhe, specifically within the Treiso municipality of the Barbaresco DOCG. Founded in 1960 by Luigi Pelissero, who was among the first in the region to move from selling grapes to bottling his own wine, the winery has gained international acclaim under the leadership of his son, Giorgio. The estate remains committed to indigenous Piedmontese varieties, managing 42 hectares of vineyards to ensure complete control over fruit quality. The Tulin bottling takes its name from a local dialect term for a small metal vessel, symbolizing a blend of spiritual handicraft and the hardworking hands of the vinegrower.
The Tulin vineyard is defined by its unique terroir, characterized by calcareous marl soils that provide a foundation for structured and complex Nebbiolo. Pelissero’s winemaking philosophy for this label bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, utilizing temperature-controlled fermentation and automatic mixing to highlight the grape's natural varietal character. After a 15-day maceration, the wine is aged for approximately 18 to 20 months in oak to harmonize the natural austerity of the Nebbiolo with a polished, international elegance. This meticulous approach results in a Barbaresco that balances dense dark fruit and firm tannins with a refined, persistent finish.
