Le 2nd Vin de Château Calon Segur is the secondary label of one of Saint-Estèphe's most respected estates. This 2014 vintage blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with 35% Merlot and supporting Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, delivering a medium-full-bodied wine with classical Bordeaux structure.
On the palate, dominant blackcurrant and plum fruit form the core, complemented by secondary cedar and spice notes from careful oak aging. Tertiary tobacco and leather character emerge with air, reflecting the wine's aging potential and complexity. Medium tannins and balanced acidity make this an approachable yet serious expression of the appellation.
