Crane Lake Sangiovese

History
Crane Lake is made by one of California’s foremost winemaking families. The Franzia’s have been producing wine for over 100 years. Their goal is to have “a bottle of wine on every American table” as part of a healthy lifestyle. They respect the average wine drinker who recognizes that good wine does not have to be expensive.

Tasting Notes
This wine was a deep raspberry red color. A mix of dark berry aromas fill the nose, including black cherry, blackberry, and black currant. Subtle sweet honey and vanilla aromas are also present. This is a medium bodied wine with predominant tangy dark berry flavors, true to the nose. Some tannins are present, but this is an overall sweet and light fruity wine. Possible lingering vanilla and wood flavors but very subtle if present at all.
