Orube

Solar Viejo's Orube is a classically structured Rioja red from the 2017 vintage, built on a foundation of Tempranillo with supporting Garnacha and Graciano. The wine displays a deep ruby color and opens with dominant dark plum and red cherry aromatics, followed by secondary notes of vanilla oak and black pepper from careful aging. A medium-full body and medium tannin structure provide backbone without heaviness, while medium-high acidity ensures freshness and food compatibility. Tertiary leather and subtle tobacco notes suggest modest bottle age potential. This is a food-friendly, well-balanced expression suited to grilled meats, braised dishes, and cured charcuterie.
