The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve emerges from the distillery's home in Alness, Ross-shire, in Scotland's far north—a site where maritime influence and Highland peat shape the water and air. The spirit is matured in ex-bourbon American oak followed by Spanish sherry cask finishing, a two-stage regime that layers vanilla and dried-fruit complexity atop the distillery's characteristic citrus and spice foundation.

This expression was conceived explicitly for cigar accompaniment; the sherry finish amplifies dried-fruit and leather notes that complement tobacco's earthiness without competing. The non-chill-filtered character preserves fatty acids and volatile compounds that would otherwise be stripped, lending textural weight and aromatic persistence. Bottled at 46% ABV, the spirit carries enough alcohol to cut through smoke and sustain flavor across a long pairing session.
