Johnnie Walker Blue Label 200th Anniversary (Limited Edition Design) (750 ml)
฿8,995
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-trade instinct — that blending across origins eliminates seasonal variance — became the founding logic of what would grow into the world's most distributed Scotch house. Blue Label is where that logic reaches its most exacting expression: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million oak vessels qualifies, each individually analysed and approved by the blending team before selection. The architecture draws from pan-Scotland contributors — Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit at the core, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) for waxy coastal depth — a combination structurally impossible to replicate from any single region or distillery. Maturation runs across ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks, with the precise split a guarded trade secret; the blend is bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered. What separates Blue Label categorically from every tier below it is the periodic inclusion of whisky from permanently silent 'ghost distilleries' — Brora and Port Ellen among them — making certain batches among the only commercially available vehicles for those lost flavour profiles. This 200th Anniversary limited-edition design marks the bicentennial of Walker's Kilmarnock founding without altering the liquid, preserving the house's non-vintage consistency philosophy while commemorating the occasion in collector-grade packaging.
