Dalaruan Archivist Whisky (700 ml)

The Lost Distillery Company specializes in researching long-closed distilleries and using that research to create blended malt Scotch whiskies that they reckon could taste like what said closed distillery produced. This one was based on research into the Auchnagie distillery, which closed all the way back in 1911.

Aroma: Cinnamon pastries, vegetal oak leading into a good whack of peat smoke.

Palate: Spiced fruit punch, more flaky pastry notes and underlying toasty embers.

Finish: Roasted pineapple and burnt clove.
