Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years (750 ml)
฿3,399
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-blending instinct — that combining sources across regions eliminates batch variation — became the founding logic of the world's most architecturally deliberate blended Scotch. The Aged 18 Years applies that same logic at extended maturation: every component whisky, drawn from Diageo's network spanning Speyside, Highland, Islay, and Lowland, must reach a minimum of 18 years in oak before the blending team considers it. The cask regime combines ex-bourbon American oak barrels and ex-Sherry European oak casks, the former driving vanilla and dried stone fruit, the latter layering dried fig and dark spice across the longer contact time. At the blend's structural core sits Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit-forward sweetness, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) for its distinctively waxy, coastal depth — a three-region architecture no single-distillery expression can replicate. The extended 18-year minimum is the special feature: where Black Label draws on 12-year minimums across roughly 40 whiskies, this expression demands six additional years of cask integration, softening Caol Ila's smoke into a background maritime register while amplifying the wax and dried-fruit complexity from Clynelish and the Sherry casks. Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered to standard. Non-vintage by design — consistency across batches is the explicit goal of master blender Dr. Emma Walker.
