Teeling
Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey (700 ml)
฿2,295
When Teeling opened on Newmarket Square in 2015, it became Dublin's first new distillery in 125 years — a deliberate reclamation of the city's 19th-century whiskey heritage, when the Liberties district housed dozens of pot stills. That founding decision to distill within the city rather than in rural Ireland shapes every aspect of this expression.
The Single Malt is produced entirely from malted barley and distilled in Teeling's copper pot stills in Dublin 8. The whiskey is matured in a combination of five different ex-rum casks — a deliberate multi-cask finishing strategy that distinguishes this expression from the standard ex-bourbon or ex-sherry single malt template common across Irish whiskey.
Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, the higher proof and absence of cold filtration preserve the natural texture and the full aromatic payload contributed by the rum-seasoned wood. The rum cask influence delivers tropical fruit and brown-sugar character that sits alongside the classic Irish malt grain profile.
The non-chill filtration at 46% ABV is a meaningful departure from the category norm of 40% chill-filtered releases, placing this firmly in craft-forward territory.
