Provenance Glen Keith 15 Years (Speyside) (700 ml)
฿4,929
Douglas Laing & Co., founded in Glasgow in 1948, built its Provenance range as a deliberate rebuttal to the opacity of blended Scotch: every bottle prints the source distillery, cask number, cask type, and exact distillation and bottling dates on the label — a level of traceability rare at this price tier. Glen Keith, a Speyside distillery that spent decades supplying malt for blends before attracting independent bottler attention, is precisely the kind of overlooked stock Provenance was designed to surface. This 15-year-old expression is drawn from a single refill hogshead — almost certainly ex-bourbon — meaning the wood contributes texture and integration without masking the distillery's own character behind heavy oak extraction. No colouring has been added, and the whisky is bottled non-chill-filtered at 46% ABV, preserving the natural fatty acids and esters that chill-filtration would strip. What makes this release categorically unusual is its age: at 15 years, it sits above the typical 6–14-year Provenance ceiling, making it an outlier within the range itself — longer contact with refill wood in Speyside's relatively temperate warehouse conditions building complexity without dominance. Yield is limited to the single cask, typically 300–850 bottles, and once gone, this specific cask cannot be replicated.
