Johnnie Walker Black Label (700 ml)
฿1,399
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-blending instinct drove a radical insight: sourcing across regions and seasons could eliminate the batch variation that plagued single-cask Scotch — a logic that became the structural DNA of Black Label two centuries later. Approximately 40 malt and grain whiskies, each matured to a minimum 12 years in predominantly ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks, are drawn from distilleries spanning Speyside, Highland, Islay, and Lowland Scotland. Cardhu (Speyside) anchors the blend with honeyed, orchard-fruit sweetness; Caol Ila (Islay) threads clean maritime peat smoke through the mid-palate; Clynelish (Highland) contributes a distinctive coastal waxiness that extends the finish. The blend is assembled by master blender Dr. Emma Walker — the first woman to hold the role in the brand's 200-year history — working from a reserve of approximately 10 million casks. Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered. What no single-region producer can replicate is precisely this: smoke, sweetness, and coastal wax calibrated in equal measure, sourced from geographically opposed Scottish terroirs and locked into absolute batch-to-batch consistency at commercial scale.
