Glenfiddich 30 Years Old (700 ml)
฿51,500
William Grant built Glenfiddich's first still by hand in 1886, but it was the decision to protect the Robbie Dhu Spring — purchasing the surrounding Conval Hills catchment specifically to secure this single mineral-rich water source — that defines every drop distilled here. That same spring water reduces the 30 Year Old to bottling strength. Maturation unfolds in stone-walled dunnage warehouses with earthen floors at Dufftown, where stable temperatures and humidity slow the interaction between spirit and oak across three decades. The Conval Hills valley microclimate, cooler and more sheltered than open Speyside, extends the aging arc without accelerating extraction. Distillation runs through Glenfiddich's distinctively small swan-neck copper pot stills — wash stills of approximately 9,000 L and spirit stills of approximately 4,500 L — whose geometry drives the light, high-ester new make that can sustain 30 years without collapsing into wood tannin. A mandatory marrying step in large oak tuns follows extended cask aging, integrating what three decades of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry European oak have built into a single coherent whole before bottling. What separates this expression from younger siblings is precisely that tun marriage applied to spirit old enough to have already achieved integration on its own — a deliberate redundancy that adds textural density no single-cask bottling at this age could replicate. Non-vintage by design; drinking window is open now through the mid-2030s.
