De Kuyper
De Kuyper Triple Sec (700 ml)
฿695
De Kuyper, founded in 1695 in the Dutch distilling heartland of Schiedam, built its triple sec on a straightforward industrial logic: a neutral grain spirit base macerated with both bitter and sweet orange peels, then redistilled to extract clean citrus oils rather than relying on cold maceration alone. This redistillation step is what separates triple sec from simple orange-flavored liqueurs — the heat drives off heavier congeners and concentrates the volatile aromatic esters of the peel. Bottled at 40% ABV, it sits at the higher end of the triple sec category, which gives it more structural presence in cocktails than lower-proof competitors. The liqueur is not chill-filtered to opacity, remaining clear and bright. What makes this expression commercially significant is its deliberate neutrality — the orange character is clean and unadorned, making it a transparent building block in Margaritas, Cosmopolitans, and Sidecars without competing with base spirits. The sweetness level is calibrated for cocktail dilution rather than neat sipping.
