Tanqueray No. TEN Distilled Gin (700 ml)
฿2,099
Tanqueray No. TEN was created in 2000 specifically to answer the bartender demand for a gin that could carry fresh citrus in a Martini without losing botanical definition. The name references the diminutive copper pot still — nicknamed 'Tiny Ten' — used exclusively for this expression at the Cameronbridge distillery in Scotland, where Tanqueray has produced since relocating from London after WWII.
What separates No. TEN from the standard Tanqueray London Dry is the fourth distillation pass through whole fresh grapefruits, oranges, and limes, loaded directly into the still rather than using dried peel or citrus essence. This cold-press-in-still technique extracts volatile aromatic oils without the bitter pith compounds that dried botanicals can introduce. The botanical bill also includes chamomile flowers, absent from the original recipe, which soften the juniper spine and add a faintly floral, almost tea-like mid-palate. Bottled at 47.3% ABV — higher than most mass-market gins — to preserve aromatic intensity and carry the fresh citrus oils through dilution in cocktails. No. TEN is not chill-filtered, preserving the natural oils that give it a faint louche when chilled neat.
