Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier 500ml x 20
฿฿฿
Paulaner Oktoberfest originates from Munich's Paulaner brewery, established in 1634 by Bavarian monks. The beer adheres to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law), employing only malted barley, hops, water, and yeast—no adjuncts or additives.
Brewed as a Märzen-style lager, this expression ferments at cool temperatures in traditional lagering vessels, then undergoes extended cold conditioning to develop its characteristic smooth, malty profile. The grain bill emphasizes Munich and Pilsner malts, which contribute depth without astringency. Noble hops (typically Hallertau) are restrained, allowing malt character to dominate.
At 5.9% ABV, Oktoberfest achieves moderate alcohol warmth balanced by residual malt sweetness and subtle grain complexity. The beer's golden-amber hue and dense, persistent head reflect proper carbonation and protein stability from traditional brewing methods.
This is the flagship expression served at Munich's Oktoberfest festival each September, making it a direct expression of Bavarian brewing tradition rather than a seasonal reinterpretation.
