Romeo Y Julieta No.3 (Aluminum Tube)
฿1,200
When Sir Winston Churchill visited the Romeo y Julieta factory in Havana in 1946 and declared his preference for the 7×47 Julieta No. 2, he inadvertently handed every cigar brand on earth a new format name — a measure of how deeply this house, founded in 1875 by Inocencio Alvarez and Manin García, has shaped the global cigar lexicon. The No. 3 is a shorter petit corona expression of that same house philosophy, rolled totalmente a mano, tripa larga (totally handmade, long filler) by torcedores in Havana.
Tobacco originates exclusively from Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Río — the Habanos Protected Appellation of Origin — where red colorado clay soils, warm humidity, and reliable trade winds produce leaves with an optimal balance of combustibility, aroma, and measured strength. The wrapper is a shade-grown Criollo leaf from the same zone, delivering a finer texture and restrained oil content that keeps the draw clean throughout.
Post-harvest leaves undergo air-curing in ventilated barns for 25–50 days, followed by bulk fermentation in pilones at 40–50°C for 15–90 days — the process that strips ammonia and builds the layered aromatic complexity the house is known for. The cedar-lined aluminum tube preserves humidity integrity from factory to lighter, a practical luxury detail absent from standard dress-box formats.
The No. 3 format delivers the full Vuelta Abajo medium-bodied profile — citrus zest, toasted almond, cedar, and a trailing dark chocolate finish — in a shorter smoke that loses none of the blend's structural coherence.
