The Mâcon-Uchizy hails from a high altitude site, exposed full south, and there are some Chardonnay musqué clones in the vineyards here which contribute an exotic top-note of lychee to a bouquet of white peach and tangerine. On the palate the wine is juicy, nicely concentrated and focussed, with gentle minerality.
