−10%While the Duboeuf name is eternally linked to the granite hills of Beaujolais, this cuvée represents a graceful venture into the sun-drenched Mediterranean landscapes of the Pays d’Oc. In the Aude department, near the medieval walls of Carcassonne, the vines find a unique sanctuary where the warmth of the South meets the cooling breath of the Pyrenees. Georges Duboeuf, a producer who built a legacy on revealing the pure, floral essence of a grape, applies that same ancestral devotion here. By selecting fruit from clay-gravel soils, the House defies the region's tendency for heavy reds, opting instead to preserve the delicate, aromatic tradition that has defined their family for over four centuries.
The experience begins with a luminous ruby glow, releasing a fine perfume of wild strawberries and crushed cherries accented by a whisper of cinnamon. On the palate, the wine unfolds with a bright, mouthwatering tension that speaks to its balanced nature, guiding the fruit-forward flavors across a texture of polished silk. As it evolves, notes of spice and a subtle touch of French oak emerge, wrapped in a velvet structure that provides depth without weight. The journey concludes with a clean, unctuous finish, leaving behind a lingering memory of red fruit and soft, earthy undertones.
