Haut-Medoc 2018

Château Soudars' 2018 Haut-Médoc is a well-balanced Bordeaux blend anchored by Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), with a touch of Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with ripe dark-fruit aromatics—blackcurrant and plum—layered with subtle cedar and graphite minerality. On the palate, medium-full body and moderate tannin structure provide grip without heaviness, making this a versatile food wine. Secondary oak influence is restrained, allowing the fruit and terroir to lead. The 2018 vintage shows good ripeness balanced by freshness, typical of the appellation's best years.
