Cornelius Van Brunt was one of the founding fathers of Breukelen. He and his family farmed the land along the Gowanus Creek and helped forge the eclectic society that became Brooklyn. Van Brunt Stillhouse honors the pioneering spirit of Brooklyn with hand crafted, artisanal spirits created on the Red Hook waterfront.

Daric Schlesselman used to wear two hats. By day, he was an editor for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and by night, he was the head distiller at Van Brunt Stillhouse. Now, he wears only one hat, devoting all of his time to Van Brunt Stillhouse. Driven by his curiosity, the small batch distillery is constantly experimenting with recipes and aging processes adding to an ever-growing portfolio of uniquely Brooklyn spirits

Tasting Notes :

Floral notes with new barrel sweetness. It’s made from four grains sourced from New York State, the grain bill consists of primarily malted barley and wheat with a bit of corn and a touch of rye.
