The King George V expression is the direct heir to that warrant — a blend constructed specifically to honour that royal recognition, drawing from distilleries that were operational during the monarch's reign, including whiskies from permanently closed 'ghost' distilleries no longer capable of producing a single new cask.

The blend's architecture follows the house's three-pillar structure: Cardhu (Speyside) delivers honeyed, orchard-fruit sweetness as the structural core; Caol Ila (Islay) introduces clean maritime peat smoke; and Clynelish (Highland) contributes its signature waxy, coastal depth — a combination achievable only by a blending house with access to approximately 10 million casks across all major Scottish regions. Selection is governed by individual cask analysis, with each barrel approved by the blending team before entry into the final assemblage.

What separates King George V from the standard luxury tier is the deliberate inclusion of whiskies from distilleries that no longer exist — a historically irreplaceable component that cannot be replicated in future batches.
