Dos Companeros Silver Tequila (700 ml)
฿1,200
Dos Companeros Silver is produced in the Tequila appellation of Jalisco, where blue Weber agave plants spend a minimum of seven years drawing minerals from the region's distinctive volcanic red clay (tzonpantli) soils — iron-rich earth that concentrates the agave's natural sugars and imparts a characteristic earthy, roasted-vegetal backbone absent in highland expressions.
The piñas are cooked in traditional autoclaves or brick ovens, then crushed, fermented, and double-distilled in pot stills to produce a blanco bottled without aging — preserving the raw distillate character that barrel time would otherwise transform. At this price tier, the expression is positioned as an accessible, unaged silver rather than a premium additive-free statement, making it a straightforward representation of lowland Tequila valley style.
What distinguishes a valley-floor blanco like this is the cooked agave earthiness and black pepper spice that lowland volcanic soils produce — a profile markedly different from the floral, citrus-driven character of highland Los Altos agave. Drink now; no cellaring benefit applies to unaged tequila.
