Houki No Indama
Houki No Indama Honjo Dry (300 ml)
฿500
Houki No Indama ("Jewel of the Broom Star") is produced in the Honjo sub-district of Okayama Prefecture, a region better known for Muscat of Alexandria table grapes than for wine production — a deliberate provocation by a small-scale producer choosing local fruit over imported prestige varieties. Okayama's Inland Sea climate delivers long, dry autumns with significant diurnal temperature swings, concentrating sugars while preserving the sharp acidity that defines the Honjo Dry style. The "Dry" designation signals a near-complete fermentation, leaving residual sugar low enough to sit outside conventional Japanese sweetness classifications — unusual in a domestic market that skews toward off-dry and semi-sweet expressions. At 300 ml, the format itself is a statement: single-serve, low-intervention, built for immediacy rather than cellaring. Expect a lean, high-acid profile with a delicate effervescence and a clean, austere finish that prioritizes texture over fruit weight. Drink young and well-chilled to capture the wine's primary character.
