Kosapan Rum (700 ml)
฿1,245
Kosapan is produced in Khao Yai, the highland plateau north of Bangkok that Thailand's agricultural industry transformed into a sugarcane and grape-growing zone — making this rum a direct expression of the same terroir that underpins the region's wine ambitions. The Khao Yai elevation (roughly 300–400 m above sea level) moderates fermentation temperatures, slowing yeast activity and allowing more aromatic congeners to develop in the wash before distillation.
Distilled from locally sourced Thai sugarcane, Kosapan Rum is a small-batch expression bottled at 700 ml, positioned as a craft spirit within a producer portfolio better known for wine. The decision to make rum alongside wine grapes is itself the transgression: Kosapan leverages its agricultural infrastructure and distillation knowledge to produce a spirit category rarely attempted at this quality tier in Thailand.
What sets this expression apart is its provenance as a winery-adjacent rum — a category crossover that is virtually unique in the Thai craft spirits landscape. The tropical highland climate accelerates spirit maturation relative to temperate-zone equivalents, compressing development into a shorter aging window while retaining freshness from the cooler nights.
