Hendrick's was born in 1999 inside the Girvan distillery in Ayrshire, where Master Distiller Lesley Gracie operates two antique stills — a Bennett and a Carter-Head — whose outputs are blended separately before botanical infusion, a dual-distillation architecture almost no other gin producer maintains at scale. The Grand Cabaret expression extends this framework with an amplified floral and exotic botanical profile, leaning into the carnivalesque spirit the brand has always theatrically signalled.

Girvan's coastal Ayrshire setting contributes soft, low-mineral water that keeps the spirit's texture plush rather than angular. The signature rose petal and cucumber infusion is retained from the core expression, but Grand Cabaret layers additional botanicals — including ylang-ylang and other exotic florals — to push the aromatic register toward the ornate. Bottled at 43.4% ABV, the proof is calibrated to carry the volatile floral esters without spirit heat overwhelming them. The expression is non-chill-filtered, preserving the natural oils that give the palate its characteristic weight.
