Don Jaime Partagás y Ravell is credited with pioneering systematic tobacco fermentation in Cuba — the multi-stage post-harvest process that drives the deep, earthy complexity the house has maintained since 1845. The Chicos format delivers that same Partagás DNA in a compact vitola, built entirely from 100% Vuelta Abajo leaf — wrapper, binder, and filler all sourced from Pinar del Río's westernmost zone, where red clay soils and a persistently humid microclimate produce tobacco of unusual density and oil content.

Every Chicos is constructed by a single torcedor using the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano method — long filler assembled and wrapped by hand in one continuous process, with no short-filler blending. Finished cigars pass draw-testing machines and senior quality-control inspection, with a rejection rate of approximately 10–15%. No casing agents or additives are used; the tobacco is 100% natural throughout.
