Henry Pelle Le Carroir Blanc

Purity, structure and finesse. The potential of this unique terroir in the northern quarter of the appellation of Menetou-Salon Morogues was recognized and planted by Henry Pellé as long ago as 1976. For here, in the “lieu dit” known locally as “Le Carroir”, is silex or “flint”: a light sandy terroir pebble-dashed with flintstones. Such terroirs are now world famous for imbuing Sauvignon blanc with a purity of flavor matched to structure, substance and a long finish. Such wines can be enjoyed young but are often even better three or more years after their release.
