Truchard Carneros Chardonnay

Truchard Vineyard lies in the heart of Carneros, prized for its rolling hills, sun exposure and cool, breezy conditions that allow long, even ripening. Nickel & Nickel makes wine from fourteen select acres of this 270-acre vineyard, composed of volcanic ash and rock with a southwestern exposure. The growing season tends to be long in this cooler area, allowing for fully mature fruit at harvest.

The 2013 Nickel & Nickel Truchard Vineyard Chardonnay offers aromas of tropical fruits, vanilla accented by minerality expressive of this vineyard. Pineapple, peach and fig notes offer a mouthful of flavor and blend exquisitely with the spice and toast from the French oak. The naturally creamy texture and balanced acidity of this wine add weight and richness to the midpalate, carrying the fruit through to a long, lingering finish.
