Monin Grenadine (700 ml)
฿289
Monin was founded in Bourges in 1912 by Georges Monin, who set out to produce syrups that could give bartenders and pâtissiers consistent, shelf-stable fruit character without relying on seasonal produce. Grenadine — named for the French word for pomegranate — is one of the house's oldest formulations and remains central to the range.
This is a non-alcoholic flavouring syrup, not a wine or fermented product, despite its retail classification. The base is a high-density sugar solution carrying pomegranate and red-berry flavouring, delivering the deep crimson colour and sweet-tart profile the format demands. Production is carried out at Monin's facility in Bourges (Cher), where centralised blending and bottling ensure batch-to-batch consistency across global markets.
What distinguishes Monin Grenadine within the syrup category is its dual role: it functions both as a cocktail colourant — giving Tequila Sunrise and Singapore Sling their signature gradient — and as a sweetening agent, removing the need for a separate simple syrup in many builds. The 700 ml format is the standard bar-service bottle, sized for high-volume use.
