The Glenturret 30 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700 ml)
฿126,899
When Lalique Group's Silvio Denz acquired Glenturret in 2019, he inherited a site documented to 1763 — and a cellar of long-sleeping casks that predate the distillery's entire identity pivot away from Famous Grouse blending stock. This 30 Year Old is drawn from that legacy inventory, aged in six on-site dunnage warehouses in the sheltered 'Hosh' glen on the banks of the Turret Burn, Crieff, Perthshire. Process water is piped exclusively from Loch Turret, a Grampian Mountain reservoir fed by Ben Chonzie runoff; the catchment geology yields exceptionally soft water that shapes the distillate's famously light, high-ester new-make character from the outset. That new-make originates from one of Scotland's smallest still pairs — a 12,500-litre wash still and a 9,000-litre spirit still fitted with a reflux bowl — with only the middle cut retained, producing a delicate, fruity spirit that three decades in American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks have slowly deepened without overwhelming. The special feature here is structural: a 30-year age statement from a distillery whose entire core range tops out publicly at 21 years, making this an outlier expression that tests the house's light-bodied style against extreme oak contact. No vintage character notes or critic scores are publicly documented for this release; drinking window is open now, with the soft-water distillate providing the acidity to sustain further cellaring.
