All leaf — wrapper, binder, and filler — originates exclusively from the Vuelta Abajo zone of Pinar del Río, Cuba's westernmost province, where red clay soils and a humid Atlantic microclimate produce tobacco of unusual density and oil content. The Colorado wrapper typical of the Serie D line reflects that terroir directly: mid-brown, visibly oily, structurally tight.

Construction follows the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano method — long filler assembled and wrapped entirely by a single torcedor, draw-tested on completion, and subject to spot-check rejection rates of 10–15%. No additives or casing agents are used; 100% natural Cuban tobacco throughout. The aluminium tube (tubo) format preserves humidity without a humidor, making these three sticks travel-ready without compromise to construction.
